The supply of double vio- lets is equal to present needs; the sin- gles generally sell readily. Valley, or- chids and sweet peas have enjoyed a good demand. Stevia sells satisfactor- ily. The supply of greens of all kinds and Christmas material is large. Various Notes. The William Murphy Co. has been marketing a considerable quantity of holly for the holiday trade. C. E. Critchell's boxwoods and red berries last week experienced a heavy demand. J. A. Peterson & Sons have an ex- cellent lot of Mrs- J. A. Peterson, Melior and Cincinnati begonias, as well as cyclamens. P. J. dinger is entertaining his brother-in-law, Fred Funk, of Emerado, N. D. C. H. H. DETBOIT, MICH. The Market. Business has slowed up a bit and prices have stiffened. Boses are scarce, except White Killarney, and short cuts are almost unobtainable. Beauties range in price from $ to $6 per dozen; other roses sell at $4 to $10 per hundred. Mums have left us and car- nations are becoming more plentiful and make $3 and $4 per hundred. The de- mand for valley has weakened and the stock is none too good. Sweet peas ar- rive and find ready buyers. Orchids again are sky-high in price. Violets sell well, including the single California stock. Various Notes.
