A silver-mounted flintlock pistol, German, circa 1800. Octagonal then round, etched Damascus barrel. Smooth bore in 14 mm calibre. Silver inlay of a pseudo-inscription in Oriental style on the chamber. The flintlock with brass powder pan and frizzen with roller bearing, signed "F. Somensi" and marked "SM". Walnut stock with horn nose cap. Lightly engraved iron furniture stamped "NB" and with the Saxon coat of arms. Wooden ramrod with horn tip.
