From1879 to 1886 he occupied the Chair of Chemistryat the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy, wasChemist to the Massachusetts State Board of Healthfrom 1882 to 1892, to the State Dairy Bureau from1892 to 1900, and Dairy Inspector for the City ofBoston from 1882 to 1885.
