A good egg yield lias been maintained notwithstanding the severity of the -winter of 1919- 1920. A special effort was made during the year 1920 to demonstrate to the farmers of the province the practicability of all the year round egg production. There exists in the minds of some farmers and poultry keepers in Alberta an impression that our winters are too severe for pro- fitable egg production and that on account of this disability poultry iceeping cannot be followed with the same degree of profit as elsewhere. The Management of the Poultry Plant has Just completed a test which demonstrates beyond question that when breeding, feeding and manage- ment are properly conducted, nothing need interfere with all the j^ear round egg production. The results show that in spite of severe weather conditions, profitable cfm be maintained. In fact, a select pen of Barred Plymouth Eocks, in a period of twelve months, including the severe winter months of 1919-1920, exceeded all previous I';'!' •??
