We have received from the author, the Honorable Samuel Abbott Green,, a pamphlet entitled Notes ona Copy of Dr. William DouglasssAlmanack for 1743, touching on thesubject of medicine in Massachusettsbefore his time. It is specially inter-esting to the members of the medicalfraternity, as well as to antiquaries. Correction. — The article uponLovewells fight at Pigwacket, printedin the February number of the BayState (page 83), contained a triflingerror, but one which deserves correc-tion. It is stated that the township ofland with which the General Court, in1774, rewarded the services of thetroops under Lovewell, was subse-quently divided, forming the towns ofLovell and New Sweden. The mis-take was upon the name of the lattertown. It should have been writtenSweden. New Sweden is the recentSwedish colony of Aroostook County. I. B.
