Thousands of Naga sadhus, revered for their austerity and feared for their rage, marches in majestic procession, made their ceremonial entry to Simhastha Kumbh Mela on the day of Peshwai (the name by which the ceremonial entry to ascetics is popularly known) . The procession which include dozens of horses, musical bandsplaying devotional tunes and the Naga Sadhu ( star attraction) is held here in Nasik every 12 years.
