L'eglise Saint-Pierre, Carennac, Dordogne

The Church of Saint-Pierre is in a dominant position on the left bank of the Dordogne at Carennac. It was built at the end of the 11th Century and has a notable 12th Century tympanum over the West door. Here spiral steps lead to an upper level above the adjacent cloisters.
