Nearly all the short-stemmed and in- ferior roses, carnations and chrysanthe- mums were cleaned up on All Souls day, for grave decorations. The Tomlinson Flower Market en- joyed excellent business last week. The Bertermann Bros. Co. has started cutting on 25,000 chrysanthemum plants. Among recent visitors were Aiyer Heller, of Newcastle, Ind.; P. V. Sted- dom, of the West View Greenhouse Co., of Knightstown, Ind.; A. W. Herre, of the Toehlmann Bros. Co., Chicago. E. E. T. FORT WAYNE, IND. The Market. The month of November has started well, with a good demand for cut flowers, and the volume of business last week was equal to that of any week in October, if not surpassing it. The supply of cut flowers is large, chrysanthemums in nu- merous varieties reigning supreme. Dur- ing the week Golden "Wedding, Major Bonnaffon, in yellow and white, and pom- pons, in great variety, appeared in the market. Koses are of excellent quality, the bright sunshine of the last two weeks having done much to improve their qual- ity as well as to increase the quantity, the only scarce varieties being Kussell and Beauty. Shawyer and Killarney are plentiful in the pinks, while Ophelia, Sunburst aiid Ward are in good supply in the yellows. Carnations are rapidly gaining a place in the market and prices are good. Vio- lets are increasing in supply. This also is true of Easter l
