A Late 19th century engraved portrait of Jeremy Taylor (1613–1667) Church of England cleric and famous author who achieved fame as an author during the Protectorate of Oliver Cromwell. He has been called the "Shakespeare of Divines" because of his poetic style prose. He was Chaplain to King Charles I
