The week-long survey by EastLancashire LPC saw 36 pharmaciesask minor ailment patients wherethey would go if the pharmacy didnot offer the MAS scheme. Of the 376 patients asked, 312 (83per cent) said they would accesstheir GP rather than a 23 per cent of those asked saidthey would buy a product, with 25(7 per cent) saying they would havegone to A&E instead. One respondent said they wouldgo to A&E for their chesty coughbecause they could never get anappointment with their CP. According to the Self CareCampaign, which aims to reduce GP
