People walk down a street within Kaleici Old Town, Antalya, Antalya Province, Turkey (Turkiye) towards the famed renovated and restored Broken Minaret Mosque. Originally built as a Roman temple, the site was converted into a Byzantine church before being transformed into a mosque under the Seljuks in the 13th century. With later additions by the Ottomans, this mosque is a symbol of Antalya's cultural diversity and heritage, standing as a testament to the city's rich history. Despite suffering damage from natural disasters and warfare over the years, the mosque has undergone several rounds of restoration and conservation efforts and reopened in 2021 as a practicing mosque for the first time in 125 years. The mosque's striking minaret and Islamic architecture offer a glimpse into the past and tourists flock to this popular hotspot to experience the historical charm and landmark monument of Antalya's Broken Minaret Mosque
