A Prussian silver snuffbox "Friedericus Rex", circa 1790 Rectangular snuffbox with hinged lid, the inside gilded. On the lid a crowned portrait cartouche of Friedrich II surrounded by the star of the guard and a laurel wreath. At the sides further portrait cartouches with depictions of members of the royal family(?). On the reverse side engraved inscription "1740-1786 Friedericus, Rex Borussiae".
