Easy Street rehabilitation. Disabled patient Peter Mazza, assisted by therapist Toni Nicolelli, in the supermarket of the Easy Street rehabilitation facility at Gaylord Hospital in Connecticut, USA. Easy Street is an occupational therapy centre providing an authentic backdrop for the rehabili- tation into community life of head trauma and disabled patients. It is a 560 square metre mock- up of a town centre, complete with bank, cinema, beauty salon, supermarket, diner and laundromat. Patients learn to cope with various real life situations in Easy Street during occupational therapy sessions, assisted by the trained hospital staff.
