The sameevening three or four butchers came trom Sheffieldand slaughtered one beast and four slieep, wHlchthey took away with them, .subsequently retummgand slaughtering the remainder. The animals wereslaughtered in a cowhouse, where there was notproper tackle, and the men were kiUing the beastsat between one and two oclo<k in the morning.
