Indian Hindu devotees carry around a huge idol of the elephant-headed Hindu god Lord Ganesha on the streets during the procession for immersion of the idol into the Arabian Sea of Mumbai on September 29, 2012. People celebrate Ganpati (rebirth) of Lord Ganesh the Elephant God. Lasting for 10days, this custom culminates with the ritual emersion of Ganesh idols in local rivers and lakes.
