William Gaschler, retired Army veteran, holds his Bronze Star Medal with Valor certificate at the 82nd Airborne Division Headquarters on Fort Bragg, , July 28, 2018. Gaschler received the award for saving the lives of two Paratroopers May 13, 1965, while serving as a sniper team leader with Company A, 1st Battalion, 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Abn. Div., during Operation Power Pack in the Dominican Republic.
