(July 25, 2018) Sailors assigned to the ordnance division of Patrol Squadron (VP) 40 simultaneously load multiple pieces of ordnance onto a P-3 Orion aircraft during their conventional weapons technical proficiency inspection at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island. The “Fighting Marlins” of VP-40 are slated to be the last active duty squadron to transition from the P-3 Orion to the P-8 Poseidon.
