A road to the left (diligence twice daily in 40min., fare 60 c.) ascendsto the (IV2 M.) village of G-uarda (5423; *IZot Meisser, open June 16th-Sept. 10th, 40 beds from 3, P. 7-11 fr.), in view of the entire chain from thePiz Vadret to the Piz Lat. near Martinsbruck. The neighbourhood is wellwooded and has a fine Alpine flora (esp. theYal Tuoi). Pleasant walks maybe taken to the (3/4 hr.) Waldsee (Lai); with benches; to (20 min.)
