(Sept. 6, 2018) Rear Admiral Sam Cox (Ret), Director of Naval History and Heritage Command (NHHC), watches as Sailors from the Navy Ceremonial Guard present arms and Musician 1st Class Kristine Hsia sings the national anthem during a ceremony held in Admiral Willard Park to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the first firing of the Naval Railway Gun during World War I. The ceremony was hosted by the Naval History and Heritage Command which is responsible for the preservation, analysis, and dissemination of naval history and heritage.
