A helmet M 1860 for officers of the dragoons with parade plume Black lacquered leather skull (with slight craquelures) with silvered fittings. The device with bandeau, Baden coat of arms and crowned griffin (threaded pins). Convex, gilt chin scales (leather underlay) on screws, large national cockade. Cross leaf with gold stars. Funnel with white horsehair plume. Visor with red-green underlay, silk repp liner missing. Signs of usage and age. A rare helmet in beautiful original condition. Cf.
