Shaikh Farid, after collecting all the available in-formation about the fortress, wrote a description of itto Akbar and devoted himself to devising a plan for itscapture. As the actual strength of the place was notfully known to the emperor, envious men representedits reduction as being an easy matter, and thus vexed.
