NAVAL BASE KITSAP-BREMERTON, Wash. (Oct. 2, 2016) - Seaman Chase Ethridge, a native of Katy, Texas, cleans away a fresh weld while performing maintenance on the arresting gear cables on board USS Nimitz (CVN 68). Nimitz is currently undergoing an extended planned incremental maintenance availability at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility where the ship is receiving scheduled maintenance and upgrades.
