A life guard hussar - Allach porcelain factory Early issue porcelain figure rendered in colour with elaborate, partly etched gilding on the uniform, bridle, saddle cloth and the plinth's border. The bottom with impressed signature "Prof. Th. Kärner", model number "93" and manufacturer's mark in a raised octagon. Height 33 cm. A mere eight figures of this design were produced in 1939. Because of the war, ochre paint replaced the gilding in productions from 1940 onwards.
