ATTRE Inscriptions: Inscription in central field, on banderole held by seated Prophet R of center: CREDO IN Inscriptions: Inscription in central field identifying figures [some include]: SAPIENTIA (Wisdom), POTECIA (Power?), REDEMPCIO (Redemption) & CARITAS (Charity God the Father enthroned, flanked by angels (at top); 2 angels flanking Fountain of Life, with Christ holding scepter above (top L of center); 3 Magi (wise men/kings) nearby, as Adam & Eve kneel before female figure (top L); Adam & Eve standing next to personifications of Wisdom, Power & Gentleness (bottom L); 2 Prophets holding banderoles with inscriptions (bottom center); personification of Redemption holding banner with image of Christ-child (bottom R); Holy Trinity ('Trinitas coelestis': Father, Son & Holy Ghost) enthroned, flanked by 2 female figures (top R) (BRD) circular & triangular jewels Possibly woven in Brussels (Cavallo). Original borders missing; replaced with a modern band [=guard] (Cavallo). This set of 5 tapestries has been dispersed & scholars have since associated some of the panels with the "Redemption of Man" series & others with the series entitled "Credo". (Dimitrova).
