Members of the 117th Field Battalion Signal Corps, Co. B and C, are seen installing telephones to the front line trenches using an old culvert in Montigny, France on March 12, 1918. This battalion was formerly known as the 1st Battalion, Mo. 42 Div. The photograph was endorsed and released on April 23, 1918 by the War College Division. Sgt. 1st Class Chas. White of the 17th Engineer Regiment, 42nd Division, took the photo.
