Children with tuberculosis lie in the sun to aid recovery at a clinic in Austria, 1920. Tuberculosis (TB) is a bacterial infection that normally affects the lungs, but can also affect other body tissues. It is caused by the bacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
