The 17th century Rendall Dovecote or Doocot on Mainland, Orkney.

The dovecote was built in 1648 to provide eggs and meat for the Hall of Rendall. The pigeons entered through the roof and nested in gaps left between the stones on the inside of the walls. The four projecting flagstone stringcourses are to prevent rats climbing the building to raid the nests. The dovecote is listed, Category B.
