Tecfidera multiple sclerosis drug. Blisterpack for a week's worth of capsules of the drug Tecfidera (dimethyl fumarate), taken twice daily in the treatment of relapsing remitting multiple sclerosis. Tecfidera was approved for use in the USA in 2013, and in Europe in 2014. Multiple sclerosis is a progressive disorder in which the body's immune system attacks the myelin sheaths that cover nerve fibres. It can cause tingling, speech disorders, lack of coordination, paralysis and death.
