Coastal defences during Typhoon Usagi. Fishing boats sheltering behind a sea wall as Typhoon Usagi passes the southern tip of Taiwan. This tropical cyclone formed in the Philippine Sea on 16 September 2013. It reached peak intensity (wind speeds of over 200 kilometres per hour) on 19 September and made landfall in China on 22 September. Photographed in Taiwan on 20 September 2013.
