Italy Trentino Stenico castle - There is a legend linked to the Castle of Stenico: it concerns the so-called "tower of hunger" that Bozone had built in the 12th century. Used as a prison, it is actually said that in the tower the condemned were locked up and left to starve (hence the name), whose screams reached the city. Legend also has it that the ghosts of the condemned have since then roamed the castle on full moon nights, lighting lights in the windows.
