The 28th Civil Engineer Squadron presented an explosives demonstration for Maj. Gen. Mark Weatherington, 8th Air Force and Joint-Global Strike Operations Center commander, during his visit to Ellsworth Air Force Base, , May 4, 2021. The demo took place at the Ellsworth explosive ordnance disposal range, which is dedicated to Staff. Sgt. Bryan D. Berky, an Ellsworth EOD technician who was killed in action while serving in Farah, Afghanistan, Sept. 12, 2009. The mission of the EOD flight at Ellsworth is to support base operations and B1-B Lancer sortie generation.
