A German silver-inlaid campaign sword,circa 1630/40 Ridged,double-edged blade with short double fullers on each side. The ricasso struck with four marks and illegible inscription. S-shaped quillons,silver inlaid on both sides,with double shell guard(finely pierced on the reverse side)and thumb ring at back. Original iron wire binding(defect)with Turk's heads. The pommel with silver inlays on each side. The silver inlays partially incomplete,especially at the edge of the left guard.
