Unfortunately, as is the case with all inventions of merit, numerous substitutes are being introduced under the name of ' improvements.' But there is not one of these so-called ' improvements' which does not possess defects from which the original invention is free. It is, therefore, absolutely necessary when ordering' Hives to specify that the Frames are to be fitted with ' DR. PINE'S ENDS,' and with no others. All Hive-mnkers will supply Hives fitted with them, and gene- rally without extra charge, the small cost being saved in diminished cost of labour.
