This new variety must soon become very popular among growers and of commercial beans. It is wonderfully prolific; the yield is 60 to 80 fold, but frequently reaches 100 fold with ordinary field culture. It is very early, very hardy, produces pro- fuse foliage, covering the ground completely and keeping it moist, which prevents thi« variety from suffering in a dry season as most sorts do. The bean is small, white, round and handsome. Pkt., 10c; qt., 25c; pk.,$: bu., ^.00. wax OR BUTTER WARDWEll'S KIDNEY WAX- Again during the past season otu' trial of this sort leads us to speak most highly of its merits. In it we have a variety which produces a hardy, vigorous plant of medium size and very productive, remarkably free from disease of every kind. The pods are large, smooth and showy, of a rich golden color, brittle and entirely stringless. Beans white, with more or less of two shades of reddish purple visible, and of a distinct kid- ney shape. Prepared for the table, it has a fine, buttery flavor, and is destined to become the leading snap bean, as well as a strongly endorsed winter shelled sort.
