The Walker Brothers, in 1964, The Walker Brothers were a successful pop group who were not actually brothers, but chose the name as a show business touch. They were highly successful in the UK. Scott's real name was Noel Scott Engel, he was born 9 Jan 1943. They quickly gathered a recording contract with Philips, their first single, "Pretty Girls Everywhere", and joined the UK Top Twenty in June 1965. Later on that same year their recording of "Make It Easy On Yourself" made the No. 1 spot. It also reached No 16 in the charts. They also made "My Ship Is Coming In" (no. 3 in uk charts), Followed by "The Sun Aint Gonna Shine Anymore" which made it to the top of the Hit Parade once more. They continued to have chart successes but their number wasn't to be. The group split up after a tour of Japan in 1968. They came together again in 1976 and had another UK top ten hit with "No Regrets". Scott continued to have a very successful career on his own. His first recording of a collection of Jacques Brel songs called "Images" was highly successful. He then went on to study Gregorian chant at Quarr Abbey. His three albums Scott, Scott 2, & Scott 3, sold well in the UK. Scott 2 Topped the UK Charts. He has continued to record and in 2006 released "the Drift" which despite earlier reaching the no. 2 spot was still listed at on the Metacritic charts in Sept. 2006.
