This illustration is given to show how the shell is hung fromthe feed roller arbor, it being often necessary to move the shelleither closer to, or farther away from the cylinder, according to thejute being used. This can be done in a few minutes when requiredif the fixing of the shell is properly understood. A radial bracket A is hung from feed roller arbor B, a settscrew C is provided for adjusting the distance of front of shell Dfrom cylinder pins, two bolts E and F fix the shell to the radialbracket. In a breaker the shell is usually set ^ from feed roller, and is seldom moved from that position. The position of front ofshell to cylinder pins is usually about f, but may be varied, andoften is so, from a J to a i, according to the quality and weight ofmaterial being put over a breaker in one round of breaker clock. In illustration the fixing of one end only of the shell is shown, both ends being alike. DETAI
