A pair of German besagews, circa 1520/30 Large examplars with turned and corded edges. Offset centres, each with six decorative ridges. The central spikes replaced and mounted on a reinforcing plate with three rivets. Continuous rivets for the lining with remains of original leather. New leather fastening strips attached.
