Our trail led towardsthe north along the western shore of the Great Salt Indians wemted to ride fast. It was aU right atfirst; but after a while I got very tired. My legs beganto hurt me, and I wanted to stop, but they urged me alongtill the peep of day, when we stopped by some very saltsprings. I was so stiff and sore that I could not get offmy horse, so one of them hfted me off and stood me onthe ground,
