(Nov. 17, 2018) ATLANTIC OCEAN – Gunner’s Mates 1st Class Christopher Sollano, from prepares a 240B machine gun on the flight deck of the Pre-Commissioning Unit (PCU) Michael Monsoor (DDG 1001) prior to a live fire shoot on the ship. The future USS Michael Monsoor is the second ship in the Zumwalt-class of guided-missile destroyers. Michael Monsoor is currently transiting to San Diego, and upon arrival, will begin a combat availability and then undergo a combat test period. The ship is scheduled to be commissioned into the Navy Jan. 26, 2019, Coronado, Calif.
