May it Please Your Honour,— • I herewith, beg to present for your consideration the Thirty-fifth AnnualReport of the Registrar-General, relating to the registration of births, marriages and deaths in the Province of Ontario during the year 1904. Respectfully submitted, W. J. HANNA, Registrar-General of Ontario. Sir,—I have the honor to submit for your approval and submission toHis Honor, The Honourable William Mortimer Clark, Esquire, Lieutenant-Governor of Ontario, the Thirty-fifth Annual Report made in conformitywith and under The Act respecting the Registration of Births, Marriagesand Deaths in the Province of Ontario for the year ending December thirty-first, 1904. I have the honor to be, Sir, Tour obedient servant,. Deputy Registrar-General, Hon. W. J. Hanna, Registrar-General of Ontario, [3] REPORT TO The Honourable W. J. Hanna, Registrar-General of the Province of Ontario. (1904) BEING THE THIRTY-FIFTH ANNUAL REPORT. Sir,—I have the honor to submit to you the following Report on theestimated population, and on the births, marriages and deaths registered inthe Province of Ontario during the year 1904. Population. Following the practice adopted in the report of last year, the populationof the Province is estimated by geometrical progression. Estimated in thismanner the population amounted to 2,203,968. The population of the citiesof the Province has been computed separately this year upon geometricalprogression as based on the census returns of the year 1901, and while thusestimated there is apparently a greater increase in this group than thatestimated for the Province as a whole, yet the figures here given are moreaccurate than if the total increase was divided or apportioned to them.
