They came from Sussex county, NewJersey. Mr. Cosner lived with his father until twenty-six years old. Then he spent fifteen years inthe West and Florida. January 9, 1890 hewas married to Emma Reed, who died Decem-ber 29, 1898. In April, 1891 he moved to thefarm where he now lives. ITe was married toJlis,^ Lillian Bennett, November 21,-1899. ]Mr. Cosner has two sons, Llarry L., who is aplumber and is living in Mill City. Ruth E., a stenographer in Oswego, was bornJuly 16th, 1889. Frank E., a carpenter in Pittston, was bornJune 25th, 1893. John Cooper was born in Northamptoncounty, Dec. 4, 1828, and came to Newton withJames Lesh in the Spring of 1842, when hewas thirteen years of age, walking the entire dis-tance, driving a cow. Mr. Lesh established awagon shop in Newton Centre, where Mr. Coo-per learned the trade, and in 1852 he establish-ed a shop in the same town, which he conductedfor several years.
