Case I.—Typhoid Fever Mistaken for Chronic LeadPoisoning.—The first case which I bring before you can hardlybe called a nervous one. Inasmuch, however, as it presentedimportant neurological aspects, and owing also to the doubtsthrown upon its nature, it was referred to me for an opinionby one of our visiting staff, the impression being that it wasone of probable lead poisoning. The patient is a Dane, 34years of age, a painter by occupation. His family history isexcellent; his own personal history is good, with the exceptionof the fact that he has suffered from lead poisoning severaltimes. He was admitted to the hospital on November October 29th he states that he was taken with pains in theabdomen, constipation and severe headache, the pain in thehead being especially severe. -It was constanhahnemannian34homo
