A late Gothic Rhenish casket, circa 1540 Oak wood with fine age patina. Rectangular body in frame construction affixed by wooden pegs. The obverse with two panels featuring finely carved Gothic tracery, the sides with lancet windows and tracery arches. The obverse with key hole and original lock, the key replaced. Hinged lid with original band fittings and iron handle. The base and top part of the back with old additions.
