A mattress is seen washed up in a bay off the coast of Norway. Around 150 volunteers from 12 countries attended the Plastic Whale Heritage beach cleaning event in Norway. The event took place in 6 bays on the islands off the coast of Sotra, coming off the back of the 1 year anniversary of the Cuviers Beaked whale which was found to have several kilos of plastic inside it's stomach after it was euthanized and subsequently autopsied. The Plastic Whale Heritage is a group of around 30 organisations that have come together to raise the profile of the growing issue of marine plastics.
