SAN DIEGO (Sept. 24, 2022) – Sailors aboard amphibious transport dock USS Anchorage (LPD 23) raise the holiday ensign to welcome attendees of the Naval Base San Diego (NBSD) Centennial Celebration, Sept. 24. The NBSD Centennial Celebration honored the partnership between the base and its community by granting public access to a portion of the base and showing off Navy assets while providing a better understanding of what happens within the base. Anchorage is homeported in San Diego.
