Hat montero, hat or 'montero' of floral pink and silver silk brocade with two stores, trimmed with ostrich or marabou feathers. On label: 'farmer's hat worn in the Veluwe.' Model: a sphere consisting of four pattes (parts) and made up of a layer of thick, dyed black and waxed linen with cream-colored paper on top of which the brocade is wrapped around it, then indigo blue woolen felt and a black silk lining. The whole is put together with coarse stitches of blue linen and brown rope. Decoration: in the middle of the sphere a wooden knot wrapped with silver or gold thread around a silk core. Mi
