This image may not be used to state or imply ESA endorsement of any company or product Test model of MetOp weather satellite, 2005. The MetOp satellites are a network of weather satellites developed by EUMETSAT (European Organisation for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites) to replace the TIROS network. The three satellites, MetOp-A, MetOp-B and MetOp-C were launched in 2006, 2012 and 2018. The instruments include IASI (Infrared Atmospheric Sounding Interferometer), GOME-2 (Global Ozone Monitoring Experiment-2), AVHRR/3 (new version of the Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer), and MHS (Microwave Humidity Sounder). Photographed in February 2005 at Intespace's facilities in Toulouse, France.
