Glovebox use. Researcher using a glovebox during anticancer (chemotherapy) drug development. Gloveboxes are sealed containers filled with dry nitrogen gas. They are used to handle chemicals which react with water or oxygen in the air. The chemicals are manipulated using the gloves attached to the box's front. This is part of the Anticancer Drug Discovery Initiative (ADDI), a joint research project between the Cancer Research Unit and the Chemistry Department, both at the University of Newcastle, England.
