A steam special train has set off from Southend on Sea to Winchester run by excursion operator Steam Dreams and hauled by LMS Stanier Class 5 4-6-0 ‘Black Five’ 45231, named The Sherwood Forester. 45231 was built in 1936 and served on British Railways until 1968. The route took the train on the C2C lines alongside the Thames Estuary here at Chalkwell
