Showing main span cable anchorages, prestressed reinforced concrete and steel road deck and north metre high reinforced concrete A frame tower. Each cable comprises 50 sheathed tensile steel strands. Cable stayed road bridge carrying the E44 motorway over the Seine estuary. Near Le Harvre on the north bank and Honfleur on the south bank. Opened in 1995 and with a main span of 856 metres (2808 feet) was at the time the longest cable stayed span in the world. Architects; Francois Doyelle and Charles Lavigne. Design; Michel Virogeux.
